How to set WIFI for MB SD Connect C4 C5 MB Star Diagnostic Tool?

 C4/C5 WIFI setting instruction：

1、Right click on the network icon，choose “Open Network and Sharing Center”，as the picture shows:

2、choose“Change adapter settings”


3、set wired IP

Set：
IP：172.29.127.118    Subnet mask：255.255.0.0

4、set WIFI IP address：


5、set C4/C5multiplexer WIFI connection password，first connect C4/C5 multiplexer to the car（ignition on），then connect lan cable to C4/C5 multiplexer and laptop.

Right click on the bottom right corner icon，choose “Administration”


In Administration menu，choose Register/configure，put 1234567890123 in the KEY：1234567890123（13 numbers），then click “Star”

Click the computer icon in the lower right corner，findRoad24h in the WIFI click “Connect”

Put the 13 digits password：1234567890123


Right click icon，choose “Selection”

Disconnect the C4/C5multiplexer and lan cable,clickthen click

Appear the iconin the lower right corner,then it is ok.

Unlock SD Connect C4 by PCB Modification

“If your Mercedes-Benz Star diagnosis SD Connect c4 is locked, do not need to buy a new set and just change this chip is ok.” said a Mercedes owner with MB SD C4 diagnostic tool.

PCB modification procedure:
1- Carefully open the sd connect multiplexer
2- Check whether some part is easy broken
MB SD Connect C4 printed circuit board in a good condition should be:

 

3- Possible occasion:
Maybe batteries leaked and damaged the PCB.
4- Blow the chip marked with a red circle by a electric hair drier

5- Disassemble the chip
6- Write the program to a new chip
7- Install the new chip to the PCB, then assemble PCBs into SD connect c4 mux
8- Start SD c4 mux
9- Connect MB SD C4 multiplexer to the laptop
10- SOLVED! And work like a charm, as a good SD Connect C4 at obd2tool.
