How to solve GM Tech2 TIS 2000 Error E666

This help to solve Tech 2 Scan Tool error “E666 – Access to Service Programming Server was denied” in TIS 2000 interface.

Tools used:
Chinese Tech 2 scanner and also a dongle with cd for tis 2000
laptop with Windows XP (won’t work on Windows 7)
Background information:
the Professional Diagnostic Tool tech 2 is working perfectly but the tis have some problems that i cant solve
i downloaded the tis for reprogramming ecus .. flashing . upgrading
as i read while searching for the best tool to work with american cars GM . isuzu…
so installed the program and trying to access to SPS but it keeps error E666: Access to Service Programming Server was denied.
TIS2000 ERROR E666
Tried but failed:
installed it standalone also server database . many times but no use
Tried successfully:
need a New-Different “Safe” cable if you using USB —-> RS232…..
make sure the cable is a rs-232 and not a rs232c
To set COM port.
—> under CONFIGURATION>I/O MANAGEMENT>TECH2>PROPERTIES.
NOTE:
Normal GM Tech 2 TIS2000 software that comes with it requires?a USB security dongle. Go figure. TIS2000 is COM yet the security is USB. This REALLY screws up things sometimes.
If you do need the dongle and don’t have one, it will come with error E666

Sulation about xentry must be activated each time

Some customers reported that Xentry of C4/C5 has been activated and can run normally,but it will show that it need be activated again every time reboot the laptop and run Xentry,as follows:

Maybe the reason is:

1. You activated Xentry with old KeyGen.
2. You accidentally changed some files of MB Star C4/C5.
3. You have installed other software on your computer, changing the operating environment of MB STAR C4/C5.

If the above problem occurs, please use our new version KeyGen to activate and generate a new xentry icon. Details as follows:
New version KeyGen:(If you have no,please contact to send you)
NEW AIO XDOS KeyGen v1.1.exe

1. Copy the KeyGen (NEW AIO XDOS KeyGen v1.1.exe) to your laptop desktop.
2. Double clickand run：Choose Xentry StartkeyCenter

3.Click the Xentry(red cycle)

Xentry Develper keygen V2.9 will be opened,


4.Put the hardware ID in Xentry Develper keygen

APP ID:252 doesn’t need change.
5.Put the Expiration Date:20200202(You can put freely)

6.Click (Fill the info above and dick here to generate Startkey) button,as follows

7.Copy the Startkey

8.Back to StartkeyCenter,choose Startkeys,then choose Enter


9.Paste Startkey just copied,click save


10.Chosse MAke Xentry Desktop links with the license protector in NEWXDOS KeyGen v1.1,as follows

11.There will be two new Xentry icons(red cycle)

12.Double click the Xenrty icon,it will run normally


13.Please delete the old two Xentry icons

This function allows you to perform various bi-directional tests to check the operating conditions of both the Anti-lock Braking System and the Supplemental Restraint System, such as Automated Bleeding, Pump Motor Test, and checking Module information, etc.
Steering Angle Sensor (SAS) Service
This service function  of Maxisys Elite allows you to perform calibration for the Steering Angle Sensor, which permanently stores the current steering wheel position as the straight-ahead position in the steering angle sensor EEPROM. On successful completion of the calibration, the steering angle sensor fault memory is automatically cleared.
DPF Regeneration Service
The Diesel Particulate Filter service function performs the regeneration procedure which is the DPF cleaning operation to clear the blockage through continuous burning of the particulate matter captured in the DPF filter. If the Autel Scan Tool DPF light on the vehicle comes on and you successfully complete a DPF regeneration cycle, you will notice that the DPF light will automatically turn off.
